Hi, i have a murry cod a fish with an average size of 70cm ( 2ft 5inches) and bigger and i need to know how to breed goldfish so i can afford to feed him. your information would be greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

I hate to break it to you, but if you can't afford to buy the goldfish, you can't afford to breed them. Mature goldfish are quite large and to keep breeding pairs would require very large tanks with high water quality. A better bet would be to breed something like guppies- although by the time you buy the food to feed them and the tank to keep them in and the medication to treat them I don't know how cheap that would be either. Probably your best bet is to feed him things like frozen shrimp and prepared food. Another option are snails. They eat mollusks in the wild so if you get some larger snails they may go after them. You shouldn't have a problem breeding snails! I would probably use a combination of foods. IP: Logged |

Sorry mate i used the wrong words and confused you and myself! What i meant is well really when it comes down to it i have to feed River Black Fish, Red Fin and the Murry Cod and i just want to save a bit of money. IP: Logged |

All you need are the proper gold fish, good water, big tank, and Mop heads hangen in the water, to allow them to attach the eggs to it. IP: Logged |
