hi all, would it be possible for me to run a reverse flow under gravel filter with my external power filter, if so are there any benifits to doing this rather than running my filter normally. cheers. IP: Logged |

The idea is that running a reverse flow will keep the plates of the ugf a little cleaner. The only way I have seen this done is with a powerhead set on reverse. Not all powerheads have this setting so watch out. I have never seen a reverse flow ugf with an external pwr filter. The external filter should be efficient enough to get rid of the ugf. IP: Logged |
