I have two 6 inch oscars and a 6 inch pleco living in a 30 gallon. I know the tank is small but im a college student and my 100 gallon tank is at home and I cant put them in it yet. The water was crystal clear up until i did a 20% water change and cleaned the gravel yesterday. I had the tank for about 4 weeks and the fish were prefectly fine. I feed s=them some feeders, maybe that was the reason the tank got dirty? I have "Cycle" and treat the water with it, I have live plants and i need to clear the water up! please help!

Maybe the problem is from the "cycle" your putting in. Why do you think that you need this.

O.K. I thought about this some more. How often do you do your water changes? It could be a biological overload that is to much bacteria. With a large load from the amount and size of the fish over time your going to build up alot of bacteria. Then your putting in the "cycle" which is adding even more.

I agree, it's probably bacteria bloom.

Also, don't waste your money on Cycle. Any "bacteria in a bottle" product that isn't refrigerated is basically worthless because by the time the consumer gets it, the bateria is all dead.
