Please help, I have had this oscar for about 7 months and I love it.... He has gotten some mold like all over and now is just barely floating on the surface.. I noticed that he has gotten more and more of that mold like all over and now it has even started covering his eyes. I tried this stuff from the pet stoce that turned the tank blue, its called Qick Cure and I also tried after one day another one called Parasite Clear and both seem to have had no affect.. He was still eating when it first started but now has no energy and just floats without any movement.. I don't want him to die so someone please help!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.. thank you ------------------ IP: Logged |

Sounds like it could be either true fungus or a bacterial infection (Quick Cure and Parasite Clear aren't for either). Is it cotton-like? Also, what size tank do you have and what are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte)? Any other fish in the tank? -Chelle IP: Logged |

I think he is almost dead, he barely moves and has not eaten for two days... I think the tank needed cleaning and thats why he got sick... maybe that was it.. anyways, if I had used maracyn on the first day maybe he would have made it...Thanks for your help chelle16 IP: Logged |
