Hi every one! I am new here and i have a question about my new guppy. She is very pregnant her gravid spot is very black and big!! I don't know what the baby guppies are going to look like when they just comeout? Will they look like normal swimming fish or will they be limp and not look like a fish?? And if it takes the mom 2-3 days to have them all then when do i take her out so she doesn't eat them all??
Please help!!!

Here's some guppy fry. IIRC, they were just a couple hours old when I took the pic.

They can swim some, but not a lot or really fast. It shouldn't take the mom more than an hour to have them, but I've never actually seen my guppies in the process of giving birth. It's been more like there are no baby guppies then about an hour later when I check the tank again, there's baby guppies. But I would remove her as soon as possible because she probably will eat them the first chance she gets.

Mine never took more than a couple hours. She may have released a few after I put her back in the main tank, but the vast majority of them were released within a couple hours.
