i have a blue mystery snail and i found him in the filter hob and i am not sure how long he was in there looks dead but is the a chance???? how strong are they?

They're pretty tough. See if you can open the little trap door they have at the opening of their shell. If it opens freely, the snail's dead. If it's pretty tight, DON'T force it, he's just scared and clamped up. Leave him be and he should be fine.
