What kinda stuff can I get for my tank to entertain my fish? they keep themselves busy pulling up plants and swimming up and down what can i get them to play around with?

It depends on the fish. Some like to play and some don't. Many people I know throw a ping pong ball in the tank for them to play with. Another dropped a que ball in the bottom for him to push around.
