Hi Pls advise me or my fishes is dying! I have been keeping luo han fish for abt a year in my 2 ft tank. But for e past few mths i noticed that they keep on having same kind of sickness abt a few eek i replace my water. They always have same kind of white spot like cotton around their bodies and even at their eyes and become inactive. I always replace e water when this happen but since it keep on repeating no matter how many times i change e tank, i give up the luo han fish ponggol park and i brought some gold fishes and puppies etc. I replace the water abt only half of it before putting them in as i know they cant survive on purly fresh water. But the same thing happen to them n some even died n i really wonder wat hav i done wrong or miss out? So can anyone pls advise me? Thk you inadvance! IP: Logged |

It's probably fungus caused by poor water quality. And the poor water quality is most likely due to overstocking your tank. How many gallons/liters is the tank? I know that's a lot of questions, but I really need to know the answers before I can help you solve your problem. I'm assuming your 2' tank is about 20 gallons. That is way too small for luo han (flowerhorns). They can get around 12" so the really need at least 55 gallons. Goldfish require at least 10 gallons/fish but now smaller than 30 gallons. I really think the root of your problem is overstocking, but answering those questions will help to be sure. -Chelle [This message has been edited by t_chelle16 (edited 02-03-2004).] IP: Logged |
