I just introduced an orange and white molly to my 5 gal tank (which currently had 1 black molly and 3 babies). Since introduction, the orange one has been extremely aggressive (somehow, the babies have avoided being eaten) and it WILL NOT STOP chasing the black one . . . it is continually nipping at its bottom. I assume this is a mating thing, but I am worried it is going to stress the black one to death and/or eat the babies. Is this normal? Should I remove the new fish from the tank? PLEASE HELP IMMEDIATELY and save a poor molly's life. THANKS!

yah, ive had this problem with a black moore and a fantail fish. the one that is chasing is probably a male and wants to mate with the female. i would suggest moving it cause it may stress out the black fush and the babies to death. ive had my yellow gourami do this to another blue gourami i had gotten and found it sitting by the blue ones corpes on the bottom. you probably should return the one thats chasing the others for the sake of your fish.
