MY OSCAR IS 6IN LIVING IN A 50 GL TANK FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS WITH SOME GOLD FISH, A EEL, AND A SUCKER FISH. THE WATER LEVEL IS GOOD BUT HE WILL NOT EAT. HE HAS A SAMLL HOLE ON HIS HEAD AND RIGHT FIN AND HAS A SPERM LIKE SUBSTANCE (FOR LACK OF A BETTER TERM) ON HIS BODY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I HAVE CLEANED THE TANK AND CHANGED OUT THE WATER. SHOULD I MEDICATE? SOME ONE HELP ME BEFORE I LOSE MY OSCAR. I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE FISH STORE THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.... UPDATE I HAVE BEEN USING MARACYN-TWO FOR THREE DAYS HE SEEMS TO BE DOING BETTER.

your oscar has a disease called Hole in the head. it is really a stomache tract infection and it is serious. your pet store can give you the right meds. i think its called hex-a-med or something close to it. the slime is probally a secondary infection from being stressed and will need to be treated as well

I had this problem some time back with my oscar, I treated her with Copper Safe which is available in Bangalore India, ( Not sure in your place ). she recovered very well.

I suppose you may wanna try this.
