my jack dempsy dug a trench. he picked up all the gravel on one side of the tank and moved it completely over to the other side. so one side the bottom is glass and the other side is about 6 inches high of gravel. than he like sleeps in the little hole he put in it. IP: Logged |

I have 2 guppies that would rather hide in the back behind the plants, and then two who are constantly swimming around, they just can't sit still! I then have one betta who blows up every time I come near, one who just swims up to the side and acknowldeges(sp?) me, 1 who just sits there, and one who gets incredibally excited, and 1 who is currently too sick to tell! ------------------ IP: Logged |

lol- i love my fish personalities. I have one betta who is very aggrssive and tries to fight everything and everyone, including a bottle I left near the tank one day. When it didn't back off he would sulk for a few minutes and then try again. I have one betta that 'does tricks' especailly if he thinks I might feed him. Last but not least there is "Thurbin the white sturgeon" (who lives at the lab) who out of all my sturgeon will play games, come up for a scratch, and generally make a nusciane of himself until I pay attention to him. He is particularly cut when tail walking and begging. You have not seen how cute a fish can possibly be until you have seen a sturgeon beg for food. IP: Logged |

my two oscars will joust the albino will start at one end of the tank and the tiger at the other, then they will charge and swerve to avoid each other just before they hit. a few times they bump into each other head first this is very funny to watch cause the albino is 3 times bigger than the tiger. My nephew named my 6" albino oscar "More" because he dances in front of the glass and moves his mouth like he is saying the word "more, more" whenever you feed him. Oscars are sometimes called "water dogs" because of behaviour like recognizing it's owner and seeming willingness to interact and "play." I like Oscars a lot and plan on having more. That said, the only downside is that they are butt-ugly fish. But dey kewl... IP: Logged |
