other good tankmates would be some green terrors, convicts, texas cichlids and possibly discuses. Good luck

I have an Oscar with 2 jack dempseys, a plecostumus, and a bala shark in a 75 gal. No problems so far (6 months).

would be fun to try it with a jaguar. I havent yet. but the oscar would have to be much bigger as the jaguar is one of the most aggressive cichlids I know of and can grow to be 18" long mine is currently 9" and very mean. I thing a big oscar in a big tank could handle it. It would be risky at best. Jags have an aggression level higher than that of red devils. Hence mine is all by hisself. But would worth a try. Just have a second tank handy if it doesnt work. To be safer a large pacu would do the trick.
