Hi skatefan29, A filter that can filter the water 5 times in 1 hour would be considered adequate. Your tank is 30 gallons. The filter you list filters 330 gallons per hour. That filter would completely filter your tank 11 times in 1 hour. It will do the job.

I would not recommend any filtration system in which I firmly believed that they're all beneficial to all aquarium species. Choose a filtration system which you think that will be adequate with the size of your aquarium size and with the correlation to what type of fish you intended to take care.
