My beta has been acting very odd for about two days now. I noticed it when I attempted to feed him, he wouldn't eat. My beta usually swims right to the top of the tank when it's time to eat and he attacks the pellets. He's always been a very active fish. I got my Beta in November, so I've only had him for a little over three months. And this is the first time he's been acting so weird. I changed his water today, and when I put him back in the water, he started to sink and he was sitting side ways on the rocks. Which I again found to be very odd. But then he would get a burst of energy and swim. Then sit on the rocks again. I noticed his coloring is a little off and just above his eye there is a bump pertruding, it was red at first, and now it is white. I attempted to feed him again this afternoon and tonight but again he didn't eat. He saw the food and went to it, but didn't eat it. I think there is something really wrong with him. I actually thought he was going to be dead by tonight. Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? And is there anything that can be done, or is it too late? Thank you for your help anyone... IP: Logged |

There are no spots, he just has a wierd bump pertruding above his eye. It's bigger than it was this morning. I'm just confused because this came out of nowhere. He's been fine happy and seemed healthy. But I don't know now. :-( IP: Logged |
