I have two ID sharks. They can grow up to 36" from what I know about them. They are great fish to have and they are also fun (mine chase each other around the tank in like a tag game....nothing aggressive, just swim around in one direction then switch and go the other way). Here is a great web-site though that has a lot of different info. http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.cfm?ID=292&genusname=Pangasius&speciesname=pangasius (thanks KC). Check page 3 of this site there are a few other messages about them. Have fun! IP: Logged |

Yes, Iridescent Sharks grow large but are frightened easily. If they are scared enough, mine uproot a few plants and bury their heads in the gravel. I started with mine small, though so I have no idea whether the larger sharkys will do this. Nonetheless they are most likely to blindly swim into your walls and pretty much batter themselves unconcouis. It's not as bad as it sounds because they play dead and lay on the gravel for 20-30 minutes after their scaring. IP: Logged |
