I need to identify what the white looking growth is on my oscar's head. I had a very healthy oscar until my brilliant brother-in-law dumped all the water from the tank and did a 100% water change! He refilled the tank using the backyard garden hose. I was gone all weekend-found out later. The water wasn't treated for chlorine either. The oscar almost died. Now his color is much improved and the film covering his eyes has disappeared. What should I treat the growth with? Rid-Ich? Please advise ASAP IP: Logged |

HI KellyTho, I am partial to the Mardel products. You can treat for fungus and parasites at the same time without the normal complications with their line of products. If it is Ick you can use Maracide or use Maracyn if it is a fungus. IP: Logged |
