Has anyone ever noticed snails appearing in their freshwater tank? I just noticed three in mine and I'm wondering how they got there. Any input would be appreciated.

hmmm..lol...nope. Did you recently add new fish or plants? Sounds to me like they must have been transported that way. snails multiply over and over---good luck !

Hi newbie, Snails often get into your tank from new plants that are put in.

Oh, that must be it. I put a plant in there for my mollies a few weeks ago. Thanks a lot for your help. I couldn't imagine how they got in there. I hope I don't wind up with millions of them. I don't even know how they're reproducing. They all look like babies. Unless the eggs were on the plant and they "hatched" in the tank? Great.
