Try to visit your LFS and find a product called "Proper pH 6.5", I've been using that and it works perfectly. Bit by bit every time my pH meter goes to >7.0, but a drastic change will be a big problem to your fish, try to avoid lowering it >0.3 at a time. IP: Logged |

Dont see my reply. Again, try to visit your LFS and ask for "Proper pH6.5", I've been using this and it perfectly works, try adding bit by bit until you reach your desired pH level, avoid drastic change like going down >0.3, it will drastically affect your fish, (for example: if your pH reads 7.5 try to low it down by 7.2 and wait for 1 day then do it again until you reach your desired level) IP: Logged |

Hi Fish Addict, If the water you are putting into the tank is 6.2 and your tank water is 7.8 you have something in the tank raising the PH. Tank water naturally becomes more acid with time (fish waste). Check to see if your rocks contain any limestone like holy rock for example. Also what type gravel are you using? Dolomite and crushed coral will raise the PH. IP: Logged |
