I have a filter that hangs over the back of my aquarium. I have had it for a few months and I clean it once a month. My aquarium is in my room, so it needs to be quiet at night. But every time I clean it, and put it back together, it is really loud for a few days. Does anyone know why this would happen or what I can do to make it quiet again??? Thanks! Ashley IP: Logged |

They say that it is airbubbles. When mine does that, I just turn it during the day, and leave it off at night. It works for me! I think it probably takes a little longer to get rid of the airbubbles, but I sleep better, so I don't really care! IP: Logged |

Try and open it sometimes new components of 2 -3 euro can solve the problem. IP: Logged |

After putting it back on your tank, fill it all the way up with water instead of just enough to prime it. This will at least minimize the air in the tube when you start it up. Make sure that there aren't any bubblers (air stones, bubble walls, etc.) nearby making air bubbles for the filter to suck up. IP: Logged |
