Hi Kibble, It appears that you expected an answer immediately. People just kind of check in here daily, so you should expect a response by the next day. The reason you get so many varied answers as to tank size is due to the type fish you're asking about. Bala Sharks are a schooling fish that are best kept in schools of at least five fish. Considering their size at maturity and the number kept would require an extremely large aquarium. In actuality most people only keep one or two Balas which would allow them to keep them in a 55 gallon tank as a minimum without a whole lot of room for swimming. I would certainly not recommend Balas for a 20 gallon. Hope this answers your question.
