I have a large irridescent shark. It's getting a bit too large for the tank that i have and i was hoping that somebody would be able to take him off my hands. I really love him/her, but it's just outgrowing my 55 gallon tank. It's about 7" right now and it needs a much larger tank. I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

At what size did you buy it and how old is it? I ask this to know how fast they grow. I have three little (about 3 inches) sharky's.

I've had the irridescent shark for maybe around 3 or 4 years. When we got it it was probably around 2 inches. They seem to continue to grow until they reach the fullest size they can for the tank. They will most likely make a mess of your tank because they get excited easily. Mine would swim back and forth rapidly when it got scared and splash the water out of the tank. Now that' it's older and has a bit more room to swim (in a 55 gallon and still growing) it has calmed down a bit. Right now my shark is somewhere around 8-10". good luck with the three little sharks
