i recently got a new oscar 2 days ago. he is in a 29 gallon tank with another oscar of his size and 5 baby oscars. when it is time to eat all the oscars but my new one eat. i feed them rosie feeder fish, beefheart, and flake food and all eat accept for him. he will only eat if a flake goes by his face but other than that he won't eat. any information would be much appreciated.

thanks.

He is the new kid on the block and doesn't know yet where he stands in the pecking order. Give him a few days to get used to the tank and the other fish.

yeah, they will get REALLY big and 7 oscars in a 29 gallon tank is crazy. a 55was supposed to be the limit for one oscar and 7 oscars will just get too crowded and dye of not enough air, fighting over being too crowded and all of the crap and left over food and things will build up and create all sourts of diseases. i have 2 oscars in a 30gallon. one is 6inch and the other is like almost 2inch. but im about to get a 75gallon tank for just the two of them cause 30g is making me feel guilty.

Like everyone else has said, there is absolutely no way you will be able to keep 7 oscars in a 29 gallon tank. If you plan on keeping them all, you're going to be needing several large tanks. (And on a side note, Puff, I am VERY happy to hear you are getting a bigger tank! ).

Also, feeder fish are one of the worst thing you can feed an oscar. They carry all kinds of diseases, have very little nutritional value, make your tank dirty, and can cause intestinal blockages that can kill your fish. I suggest sticking with the flake food and some good pellets.
