Help, my female betta ate the fins off my male betta fish. Isn't it okay to have a male and a female together? Will the fins grow back? He looks awful...

Hi,
We recently had a question like this within the last month I think. I believe the answer was that they do not get along..and probably never will. I believe someone pointed out that fish are individual and although some get along fine with others-- others simply do not. I have heard that this is why breeding Betta is so difficult--becuse the male and female do not get along very well. Good luck. I think if you seperate them, the tail will grow back in a few months.

Yeah, I think I was the poster of the one last month. Don't keep them together. 1st, you could end up with tons of little betta fry (which I was trying to do). Or you could end up with one or two dead fish. My female killed a male. HIs bite marks got infected. Don't keep them together. Some might be okay together, but most won't!
