I bought a Sailfin Pleco approx 2 inch Saturday 4:30 cost $59 Aus. To reduce my Algae and because there a really cool fish. I found the poor guy dead two days later the night I got him he was go great eating heaps of green algie on my rocks really fit in. I'm going to to the Pet shop tomorrow after work to see their reaction as I want my money back or at least credit. I wouldn't usually complain but this being an expensive fish I will. Below is the details of my tank. My Tank is a 3 foot tank 105 litres heavilly planted with drift wood, 3 small cloan loaches six medium sized gouramies, four small bristle noses, upside down catfish and 1 simise fighter. There is heaps of space free. Filter is Fluval Aqua clear 304 more than enough. PH is usually about 6.5 slighty acidic I think this is due to the drift wood. Oh and I do regular water 25% water changes roughly every 10 days. Tank has been up for about 4 months with no Amonia. Water temp 26.5 degrees. Please reply on your opinion on why he died or about me questioning the petshop. IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear about your fish. That seems pretty expensive, I'd definitely try to get store credit for it. I found them here for $15 (American I assume)http://www.zangfish.com/cgi-bin/fishpage.cgi My LFS has a one week return guarantee on everything except salt water and feeder fish (unfortunately not big enough to stock puffers etc.) IP: Logged |
