Hi, i have 2 victorian cichlids and they both have one cloudy eye. What kind of medicine should i use to clear this up? Also, I think they might be male and female and the one that looks like the male is biting the female... could this be a mating pair? IP: Logged |

I don't know much about lake victoria cichlids, though I have one kind in my tank that are a pair. the female is very drab. the lake victoria ones I've seen, the males and females look different, but I don't know about all. when they are mating, the male will colour up and do a vibrating thing with his body at the female. not sure about the biting. the cloudy eye/s can come from an abrasion from fighting. this should clear up quickly. be sure to check your other fish for this, do a 30% water change, and if it doesn't improve in a day or so, or gets worse, consider medication to avoid popeye. do you use aquarium salt? they like salt.
