Help. My daughter is bringing home a guppy and a fresh water snail today from school. She has adopted them. What type of water do they need? Can they live with other fish? IP: Logged |

what kind of aquarium do you have? generally, guppy's are probably one of the most timid fish that are relativly easy to take care of. also, if you want a chance to have some guppy fry, purchase the opposite sex (normally like 2-3$, and these fish give off live fry) the snails are nice to have also with their algae cleaning ability, but they can lay many egss and you mite end up with tons of snails babies. hope that helps... also, they need freshwater and i would say a temp. of around 75-78 degrees. make it is a new tank to add in dechlorinater to get rid of any harmful chemicals in tap water. IP: Logged |
