from what i have read two arowanas is probably too many for the tank because a full grown arowana needs about 300 gallons to live in.

Sorry to say but that is definatlely going to be an over stocked tank. A single full grown arrowana needs 260-300 gallons. You could keep one in there for a little while. You will also run into problems with those cichlids.

An Arawana will get larger than 2 feet in a tank. The Flowerhorn would kill basically everything you listed. The Oscar would tear up the Arawana and quite possibly the Tinfoils.

oscars wont kill arowanas or tinfoils. flwer horns have been seen with arowanas oscars plecos and other cichlids. anyway i found out in a tank arowanas got from 2-3 feet. ive seen 7 arowanas 2 stingrays and a bloodyparrot in a 150.

My aunt has a pet rat and a cat that get along. Doesn't mean I'd leave one alone with our cat! (Hunts birds, voles etc. on my parents acreage) Why ask advice if you're just going to tell everyone they're wrong anyway. Go ahead and do it, and if it works, good for you. If not, well, you can't say you weren't warned...

As an aside, I have read that Oscars and Tinfoils can live together (see http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/cichlids_neotropical/oscars.htm#top2) The page also has an interesting quote that I think applies here. 'We get comments from time to time that say something like, "I've got 3 Oscars living together, and they seem to be getting along well." But we also get comments like, "I had 3 Oscars that got along well, but then one of them attacked the other two for no apparent reason."' Fish aren't always predictable, but you should do your best to try to create a safe environment for all the fish in your aquarium.

What I state here is the rule not the exception. In over thirty years of keeping fish I have at one time or another probably broken every rule of fish keeping. I do it because I like to study adaptability and the evolutionary process. In some cases I have done what everyone else says is impossible. In other cases it has had disasterous results. I have kept Tinfoils with Oscars. I have even kept Angelfish and some varieties of Tetras with full grown Oscars. These are the exception, not the rule. If you ask me if it can be done I'm going to give you the rule not the exception!
