Hello Everyone.

I just got a Red Oscar that is about 2 inches long. If I feed it 3 times a day but in small amounts how fast will it grow???

Your little bugger will grow about an inch a month. It will get a max of 13", some grow larger some smaller. Its growth rate will slow down when it gets larger. Keep him well fed and with lots of variety.

I have been feeding my fish 3 times a day for 2 years and it has worked out fine. I have always had african cichlids and even the bottle of food says Feed 3 times a day but no more then the fish can eat.

So shake your finger at some one else and Ill keep feeding my fish 3 times a day.

You see thing is I feed 3 times a day BUT those 3 times all put together I probably dont feed as much as you do in 2 feedings therefore my fish eats all food and I have 0 amonia.

Thank You
Samson

depends on the tank temp. the warmer the temp=the higher the metabolism=the more they eat=bigger fish sooner
