If the water change didnt work....and if you dont have an undergravel filter, you can also get a bag (like your charcoal one) for your filter -- its for amonia and sits on top of your charcoal bag. This cleared up my problem within 8 hrs or so.

I never have a problem with cloudy water, and I never do a partial water change! I always empty the entire water contents, and all waste products by doing so. It has'nt killed the fish for years! Then I refill my very large tanks, with fresh water. The trick is after doing that I use a DIATOM PUMP to filter out impuritys, and it polishes the tanks to a clear glass finish. You must have an adequate filtration system. I don't need to change my tanks for three months at a time, and my fish are very happy and healthy!!!!! "Thats about it". No lost of good bacteria problems, PH level, nitrate level, etc.

hiya!!!

I had the same problem.

I did a water change yesterday and ending up taking out all the water and rinsin out the stones!

When i filled the tank back up the water was really cloudy. my oranda and 2shubunkins were in a seperate tank. I put the filter on and it cleared within a hour or so.
