hi
you guys are right, the one red tailed shark is picking on the other every chance it gets. I also read that if I get 6 in one tank, then they wont fight...this true? I am thinking about doing this. One thing though...will it over populate my tank? It is 55 gallons and I also have
2 dalmation mollies
2 golden comet platys
4 small black tetras
2 angel fish
2 dwarf frogs
1 betta
2 neon tetras and
2 sword tailed
I dont want to go out and buy 4 more if it will cause havoc amongst the other fish. What does everyone think?
Lindsay

p.s: And can I get an ID shark as well included in the 4 I am thinking about buying or do different species of shark not get along? Any suggestions?

Even if you went out and bought ten red tail sharks they are going to pick on each other. My best suggestion is to take one of the sharks back to the pet store and ask them for a store credit toward some other type of fish.

Irridescent sharks are ID sharks right? Well, yes they can grow quite large, but I say they would make better sharks because they are peacful. But on the other hand they are quite skittish. They are pretty much frightened of everything that moves when they are first introduced to your tank. This is a tremendous amount of stress if you have alot of fish that like to pick on others. ( like tiger barbs!)

hi my suggestion is that you take all those sharks back for credit and get your self a couple of small emperor(not sure about spelling) sharks they look very much like real sharks and they wont pick on eachother they like to constantly swim all over they are cool and oh yah get a bigger tank they are not that expensive besides you will have that tank for ever
