If he does not eat them after they have been dead for about 1 hour take them out of the tank. IP: Logged |

At 1" he's still a little small for guppies. Try giving him brine shrimp or blood worms until he's about 2"-2 1/2". It won't take long at all for him to get to live food size. IP: Logged |

Just leave the feeders in there. Don't give him anymore brine shrimp than he will eat in a couple of minutes. The feeders will help take care of any excess. In regard to bacon I really don't know the nutritional merits of bacon. I wouldn't think it to be very nutritional, and you definately want to make sure to give him only the lean part of the bacon. NO FAT. IP: Logged |

I don't own rbp's, but they seem very popular here so if anyone wishes to correct me by all means feel free. The meat should be as lean as possible. Even the meaty part of bacon isn't particularly fat free. Also it's likely smoked and salted with probable flavourings. I wouldn't eat it if it didn't taste so good - but I definitely wouldn't feed it to my fish. Things like beef heart seem to be very popular among the people here - and should be far healthier for your fish. I would imagine that most frozen fish/shrimp etc. would also be OK - as long as it hasn't been cured somehow. I would personally feed my fish this as it's regular diet as live fish can carry disease and I just generally don't like the practice - why should goldfish and guppies have to go through that. I know tons of people here will vehemently disagree with me. It's only my opinion, you're entitled to do as you please. IP: Logged |
