I would use something else for a staple. That will get pricy. Their are alot of good brands of food out there that have the basic nutritional needs for your fish. ------------------ [This message has been edited by gr8fuljames (edited 11-13-2003).] IP: Logged |

You can also feed your rbp lean beef-heart occasionally or feeder Goldfish (preferably isolated to thin out any that are diseased). In actuallity the frozen shrimp is less expensive than the feeders and is more healthy than the feeders or beef-heart. IP: Logged |

my friend has fed his piranhas mice until he decided he want to sell them to me. i don't feed them mice and i never plan to. there's nothing wrong with it though, you could feed your piranhas mice once in a while. so far i've only given my piranhas gold fish feeders but i'm planning to give them some raw meat also but only once or twice every 2 weeks. also, if you're planning to feed your piranhas dead meat or live food, then you have to make sure to take out 20% of the water out and add some fresh water so there won't be any bacteria or fungus growing in the aquarium.
