I just got a Iridecent shark and he is not eatting I have alot of fish in the tank with him! He even freaks out when I turn both lights on so I am keeping one off. My tank has been set up for over a year now so it is well established. I dont know what to do for him. He is 12 inches long and so un-happy. Can you HELP me! Thankyou, Sara IP: Logged |

Sounds like he's just gonna have to get over the move. Some fish take longer than others. Your on the right track woth the lights. I would leave them all out that will reduce the stress a lot. He will probably come around and be eating in a few days. ------------------ IP: Logged |

That iridescent still has a ways to grow. How big is your tank and what else is in there with him? IP: Logged |

That shark should get about 4 feet if you keep good care of him/her. They are very skittish fish who are afraid of alot of things. Lights/ opening the hood, or cleaning the tank. These guys will swim around fast and bang into the walls due to their poor sight. Nonetheless they are peacful and get along with other fish. They will stay up in a corner and do nothing if being picked on. I love my fishies and they have a long way to go. They re only 4 inches! Hope IP: Logged |

they like to eat sinking shrimp pellets. Mine especially likes spirulina discs. Mine won't eat food that floats. IP: Logged |

I have 4 id sharks all of mine eat krill, flake, algae waffers. They are little pigs and will eat out of my hand my largest one is more picky eating mainly about 6 algae waffers. He is 12 inches long also. You might want to try to put floating plants to calm them down works well not as skidish then. IP: Logged |
