i`ve just bought 10 pirana from my m8 .thay were a little shocked after the move .but soon got over it .they have been with me for about 3 /4 weeks now and have eatin a lot of fish from fish shops all over the area. and somethings just happend to a few of them .eh 2 or 3 of them lost there couler again and there gills have turned a little darker than the others .i`m thinking i might have put a diseased fish in my tank. how can i check out my tank for disease and keep my fish happy thanx kris from glasgow

when pirhanas get older they all get darker it something that they go throw when they micher and you mite want to try blood worms or dew worms dont always feed them fish just something to try hope this helps

hey kris, did u turn on the aquarium lights and notice this? if so, then it is normal. many times when u first turn on the tank lights for they day, you notice that they have no red coloration at all, but rather that silverish color instead. dont worry, after a few minutes, they should be back 2 normal. my RBP's do this all the time.
