i`ve just bought 10 pirana from my m8 .thay were a little shocked after the move .but soon got over it .they have been with me for about 3 /4 weeks now and have eatin a lot of fish from fish shops all over the area. and somethings just happend to a few of them .eh 2 or 3 of them lost there couler again and there gills have turned a little darker than the others .i`m thinking i might have put a diseased fish in my tank. how can i check out my tank for disease and keep my fish happy thanx kris from glasgow IP: Logged |

hey kris, did u turn on the aquarium lights and notice this? if so, then it is normal. many times when u first turn on the tank lights for they day, you notice that they have no red coloration at all, but rather that silverish color instead. dont worry, after a few minutes, they should be back 2 normal. my RBP's do this all the time.
