just got a oscar, I would like to make him/her happier in his new home, what do they like best???????? He/she is about 7-8inches long.

Nice, but I was hoping for tank ideas. what type of environment is best.

You have to remember that Oscars will get large and tank space will be at a premium. Any decorative rocks should be kept small/low in the tank to allow him swimming room. Any plants live or plastic will most likely get uprooted.
