i've never had ick in the tank before and i'm just wondering about which is the best product to use. i was told either mardel or aquasol.

I just buy the stuff in the grey box, it has i think a blue or red line, mayb green, line @ the top, and has a picture of a fish in an aquarium.

I use "quick cure", no matter what brand name you use make sure you use it for the full gestation period and as long as your not treating gold fish or other cold water fish raise the tank temp. to 82 deg.F.

I prefer Maracide made by Mardel. The advantage to the Mardel products is that they are designed so that you can use Maracide for parasites at the same time you are using any of their medications for fungus, without the normal adverse reactions. This is extremely helpful when you end up with secondary bacterial infections. Besides that I have found Maracide to be one of the most if not the most effective treatment for ick.
