This morning, I put the plants in, made sure the darn driftwood was staying at the bottom of the new 75-gallon tank, and then I siphoned off about 25 gallons of the three-day old water. I transferred 25 gallons from the old tank over to the new tank, added a 1/4 teaspoon of Biozyme, and then removed the rocks and plants from the old tank and added them with the new plants in the new tank.

Last but not least, the three gold Severums made the move to their new home. Then looked rather mixed up for the first half hour, but they weren’t breathing hard or frantic. I also removed the filter from the old Whisper and put it in the extra slot in the Emperor 400. I’m hoping that with one third of the tank being their old water, the old filter from the other tank, and the Biozyme, they will do fine.

If fact I was shocked to see them swim to the corner of the big tank where their old plants and rocks from the old tank has been placed. They stayed under cover for a couple of hours and then slowly began to creep out into their new surroundings.

I turned the lights out on the tank very early tonight in hopes that will help them rest a while.

The water temperature was exactly as the other tank –

If the fish develop Ich, how soon will it begin? I hope that it doesn’t start at all!
