YES, IT IS NORMAL....ALL FISH DO THIS. AT NITE/IN DARKNESS THEY LOSE MUCH OF THEIR COLORATION. DONT WORRY, AFTER ABOUT A FEW MINUTES WITH LIGHT THEY ARE BACK 2 THEIR NORMAL COLOR/COLORS. MY RBP'S ALWAYS DO THIS.
