Does anyone have a suggestion as to what would be a good power filter for a 30 gallon hexagon tank with 2 angelfish, 1 swordtail, 3 neons and 4 danios. My primary concern is for the angelfish ...(please be sure to include GPH) Thank you

Anything that you can divert the outflow on would be a good start. Angel's don't like a lot of current, but you'll want something with sucking power to get to the bottom of that tank. If I'm thinking correctly, its pretty tall, right? Feel free to disagree with me, but I think you can never have too much filtration, so I'd got for something along the lines of a Fluval 204 or even a 304, so you can point the out flow at the wall, creating a calm water top but lots of power. And I don't know the GPH off the top of my head, but they're good ones. A little expensive, so maybe if I knew a price range, I could help you better.

I didn't much go for the canister type filters because of their tendancy to leak and being that I live in an apartment, I would very much like to continue to live here !!
So, I decided to go with the Emperor 280 power filter. It has an adjustable flow rate. I am assuming that no harm done to turn this thing down a wee bit for the angels with no harm to the operation of this unit and no harm to the colony of bacteria?
