I have a tank that was fine. had 3 fish in it. i purchased a iridescent shark and bam... 2 days later the tank had ICK. well after just about every treatment possible all the fish died but the iridescent shark. now the shark has lost most of his fins. back top bottom almost totally gone. i used medicine for fin rot, but his fins have not returned. he swims fast and eats, but when hes not swimming around he lays on the bottom, just hanging out. any suggestions?

Try using Melafix it works good. Repairs damged fins and heals wounds.

While it is possible that the ick was introduced into the tank when you added the iridescent shark, all of the symptoms (fin rot and ick) indicate poor tank conditions. Also I do not see where you have treated the tank for ick. Before you use Melafix to repair the damage you need to repair what caused the damage. Clean the gravel by removing water from the bottom. If you have not treated the tank for ick you need to do this as a second step. After following the directions on the ick medication do another water change. Then you will be ready to use Melafix to repair the damage.

Poor Sharky,
I have 3,
IT seems every time I buy new fish I get ick.
I have ick guard 2 as medicine. It works pretty well after the protazoans get out of the sacks. Bam- They die.
