G'day everybody. I popped in to ask if anybody knows of a rare fish of the edible variety that would be available to only selected distributors in the Sydney area and that not many people would buy? The reason for my question is that the fish is a crucial piece of evidence in a murder investigation in a novel I am writing. I have to have the first ten thousand words to the editor in the UK by November 1; this is not a problem as the rare fish doesn't enter the scene until well into the book. But I have to write a synopsis detailing the direction the story heads and some of the clues the detectives use to apprehend a particularly vicious killer. Any help appreciated - email me if you wish. Cheers, and thanks in advance. David R ------------------ IP: Logged |

I can't think of any that would be available only in the Sydney area. Your story line sounds almost like an old Hawaii Five-O Series where the poison from a Volitans Lion Fish (Marine fish) was used for the murder. More than likely you will have to look at Marine (saltwater) fish for one specifically shipped only to Sydney. Something along the lines of a Sargassum Frog Fish not commonly shipped. Hope this helps. IP: Logged |
