every time in the early morning before I go to school, which is around 6:40 am I turn the lights on in my oscars tank, and she gets pissed. is because she wants to rest some more or if it is too early?

yea, thats like if ur asleep and all of a sudden sum1 walks in ur room n turns on a really bright lite n walks away...REALLY gets u angry

One thing that fish appreciate is if possible 2 turn on a diff light for about 5 mins first, so they get used 2 the lite. then u can turn on ur fish-tnak lite, and the fish wont be startled from the light.

I personally have a touch on 3-step lamp next 2 my tanks, so at nite and in the morning i can evetually make it brighter or darker w/o stressing them
