I bought a redbellied piranha about a year and a half ago and it was about the size of a quarter. I only put it in a ten gallon tank though. It really grew for about the first year but now it seems it isn't growing anymore. A guy at pet shop told me that it would get full grown in a ten gallon tank. Anyways I was wondering if I put it in a bigger tank will it start growing again or will it always stay that size now because it was in a small tank for so long? IP: Logged |

It won't get to full size in a 10 gallon and it's health will suffer in a tank that size. Moved to a larger tank it should start to grow again but will probably be slightly smaller than normal when fully grown. IP: Logged |

Get a much bigget tank. 50 gallons + Unfortunatly you have only one they don't like being alone. Just get a 60 gallon tank and two same sided red belly's let them get to kwow each other by putting a little glass or plastic between them for a week. they will live happy ever after. IP: Logged |
