I had a betta for a year and while i was in school I went a while without cleaning his cage and he got fin and tail rot because the plastic betta bowl got moldy. I gave him some medicine and my mother bought him a twenty gallon tank before we found out that might stress him out then we bought a glass bowl. About a month and a half ago I went to my cousins in wisconsin and my mom was fish sitting. She called saying that she couldnt find him. When I came home I looked, he wasnt in the bowl, he was all dried up by my closet. Does anyone know why he may have jumped out of the bowl???IP: Logged |

the amonia levels in the bowl may have been to high. bettas naturally live in puddle type water (hence why they come to the surface for air) he may have been trying to find a new puddle IP: Logged |
