i had to get rid of my pleco yesterday. i had no choice he was constantly stressing my pacus! they have sores and scratches all over them from him sucking on them. they stopped eating all they would do all day is run away from the pleco. I dont get it i put in algea waffers and he didnt touch them. i guess he got a taste for pacu slime (sounds funny). i returned him to the LPS and got some store credit. IP: Logged |

Just get a couple of smaller Plecos. The Pacus won't bother them and when they start getting too large or agressive trade them in for some more smaller ones. IP: Logged |

pacuguy, I don't think you'd have a problem with the oscar. I have a tiger oscar about that size right now in with a reg. pleco about 2-3 inches long and they do fine. Maybe you could try a different kind of pleco there's lots of different kinds. I have a bristlenose pleco that doesn't get really big but it's not full grown yet so I can't say for sure that it wouldn't do the same thing. ------------------ IP: Logged |

The only thing that I've ever really seen bother a Pleco is a Black Shark. I had a Black Shark that killed one. IP: Logged |
