Hello everyone,

Im new to the board. I was wondering if anyone had any info on large tanks. I've got a pacu in a 55 gal currently, but will soon need alot more. What brand (if any), what price am I looking at, and where the heck am I supposed to get one that big? My local petsmart and petco only have 75 - 90 gal, and they don't know jack about fish in my personal opinion. Thanks for the help.

Hello videoboy, it's been quite some time since I priced tanks but here is a fairly good estimation on prices for a tank, glass top and light: up to 55 gallons roughly $2.00/gallon, over 55 to 300 gallons roughly $3.00/gallon. For gravel and filters you can add another $1.00 to $1.50/gallon. Remember these are rough estimates. Just because those are the sizes they stock doesn't mean that they can't get other or larger sizes. You need to talk to the department manager for pricing and availability on larger tanks. More than likely they will have no problem getting you a larger tank.
