i've got a handful of baby rb's and i'm trying to find something that will not be massacred but will it the algae on the glass. i'm tired of seeing plecos get wiped out. anybody know of anything

im no expert on piranhas but if they are anything like oscars or red devils you could try puting in a few of those litte chineese algae eaters in your tank. I have had a tank with a mix of big fish and the algae eaters seem to work well as long as you have a bunch of nook and crannies that they can escape to. The algae eaters were always to fast for the other fish to catch so the big fish just stuck to eating the goldfish. although once and a while I would have to restock the tank with algae eaters but they are a heck of alot less expensive then plecos.you could always try that.

i dont know about the algea eaters my brother lost many to african cichilds i can just imagine what RBP's will do to them.
id just stop sacraficing fish and treat the algea with a chemical

Yeah i guess so cause the african cichlids are quick but they seem to work well with oscars cause they are not that fast, more clumsy if anything. but yeah if piranhas are fast dont bother with algae eaters
