My gold fish are getting big in the tummy and are rising to the surface. I think they are constipated. What should I do? I heard I should give them a certain plant but I don’t know the name of it. Please help me because my children (fish) are in a bad shape and I don know what to do. IP: Logged |

call your pet shop tell them what's wrong with your fish and they will tell you what you need to do. good luck IP: Logged |

I'm not sure what plant your refering to, but something leafy like Romaine Lettuce, NOT Iceberg Lettuce, could help relieve constipation. Also, with goldfish avoid brine shrimp. It has a tendancy to make them constipated. Hope this helps. IP: Logged |

sounds like dropsy to me, try some coppersafe and see what happens, but I never heard of a constipated fish :0 IP: Logged |

My baby also has the same sickness, are you sure she got pregnant? She breathe heavily last night and I seperate her this morning. She poo poo with red color string, and the red string change to white color lately. She breathe slowly & floating on the water and finally die in couple hours later. I am so sad because she used to be very active. IP: Logged |
