hey can someone tell me how to tell apart a tiger oscars sex becuase i jus got a 4 inch tiger oscar

I have never found any definate information on sexing Oscars. I have had the suspicion that they differed similar to Angelfish. The females are rounded from the mouth to the Dorsal fin. The males have a small dip just above the eye. This is only speculation though.
