Bob Dole, Tony Blair, and my sucker fish Albert have come down with what I belive is an infestation of some kind of worms. They are very little, though visable about this size ___ and thickness actually. anyway, I knew before that Bob was sick because he was acting and looking weird, his eye has some white crap on the sides, in his eye... he also has some scales missing, and his caudal fin is well...holey. i treated him with anti-bacteria, and anti-fungi, but then i just yesterday saw the worms. I am going to do a salt bath for the fish and I am going to totally empty the fish tank, and get new decor and a new filter. ANYWAY, heres the question, what kind of parisite is this worm? I have looked it up and only so far found that it might be hmmm, forgot the name, the worms that go in your fishes gills. Only thing is that I havent noticed any abnormal breathing as in gill behavior, or any clapped fins, etc. anyway could this still be the fin parasite, or does anyone know what these a-holes are?

yo man, u feed your fishes those live blood worms u get for a dollar? if u do, u should stop cuz that shit carry a lot of crap. u should feed your fishes only the frozen or freeze dried ones. my tank was infested once. killed everything but my syn catfish. u gotta disinfect the tank if its bad. if it's jes slightly infested and too lazy to disinfect, then jes do a 20% h20 change a day and don't forget to add salt. there's also medicine u can buy. i think one u can pick up at petco is called parasite clear.

LOL! ok, flukes it is.

I am going to totally take everything out of my tank, plants, rocks, water and all, and get all new decor and obviously water, while my fish tank is being revamped, bob and tony will be in a bucket with treated water, for their FLUKES.

I dont feed bloodworms, i fed live goldfish, and i didnt (i know i know) quarrinteen (sp?) them, so i am cleaning out another tank which i can do that in. . my boyfriend demands we continue feeding live fish because he wont eat anything else...i disagree but i just want them to be healthy so we are cleaning out another tank for the feeders.

anyway, thanks for the replys, i will remember Flukes!!!
